Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 May 2026

1. About this service

CyberReport UK (trading name, sole trader, United Kingdom) operates the website cyberreport.uk and provides an online cyber security self-assessment tool for UK businesses.

By using this service and making a purchase, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What you are purchasing

For a one-off payment of £49 plus VAT, you receive:

• A completed cyber security self-assessment report in PDF format, generated from the answers you provide

• The report is delivered immediately as a digital download upon payment

This is a digital product delivered electronically. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that delivery begins immediately and you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once the PDF has been made available to you.

3. Nature of the report

The report produced by this service is a self-assessment tool only. You must understand the following:

• The report reflects the answers you provide. We do not independently verify your responses.

• The report is aligned to the UK government's Cyber Essentials framework but does not constitute, replace, or substitute formal Cyber Essentials certification.

• The report is not a guarantee of security. It indicates areas of strength and weakness based on your answers at the time of assessment.

• The report is not legal, regulatory, or professional advice. You should seek qualified professional advice for specific compliance requirements.

• "Cyber Essentials" is a registered trademark of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). CyberReport UK is not affiliated with, accredited by, or endorsed by the NCSC.

4. Accuracy of your answers

The value and accuracy of your report depends entirely on the accuracy of the answers you provide. You are responsible for providing truthful and accurate responses to the best of your knowledge. We accept no liability for reports generated from inaccurate or incomplete answers.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major debit and credit cards. All prices are shown exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added at checkout at the applicable UK rate.

Your payment is taken at the time of purchase. You will receive a payment receipt from Stripe to the email address provided at checkout.

6. Refund policy

Because this is a digital product delivered immediately upon payment, we do not offer refunds once your report has been generated and made available for download.

If you experience a technical failure that prevents you from accessing your report — for example, a payment was taken but no report was produced — please contact us at support@cyberreport.uk within 48 hours and we will either resolve the issue or issue a full refund.

If you have any other concerns about your purchase, contact us and we will do our best to help.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

• We provide this service "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

• We are not liable for any business decisions made in reliance on the report.

• We are not liable for any security incidents, data breaches, or regulatory penalties that occur regardless of whether you have used our service.

• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of this service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your report (£49 plus VAT).

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

8. Intellectual property

The report generated for you is for your own business use. You may share it with insurers, clients, advisers, and other third parties in connection with your business. You may not resell, republish, or commercially exploit the report or any part of our service without our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Provide deliberately false or misleading answers in order to obtain a more favourable report

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce our questionnaire or scoring methodology

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

• Attempt to circumvent payment or access reports without paying

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of this service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
